Accor hits 45,000 keys under extended stay portfolio
Holland Drive Condo offers an enviable lifestyle for residents, nestled right within the Jubilee Circle district and surrounded by good schools. Its strategic location and proximity to the many colleges here offer parents a great location for their little ones to receive the best education available. Furthermore, with great public transport connections, residents will find getting to various points of interest within the city a breeze.
Accor, the global hospitality group, is now the world’s largest player outside of the US in the extended stay segment with 45,000 keys across more than 380 properties and 14 brands in the portfolio. The high concentration of properties is mainly composed of those in Europe and Asia, “leading the markets where we have deep roots, strong relationships and a powerful presence”, says Jean-Jacques Morin, deputy CEO of Accor and its premium, midscale and economy division CEO.
Morin believes that the increasing demand for such services has been driven by travellers looking to explore destinations more deeply, who are now taking longer trips for the purpose of leisure and business. The group offers extended stay options through various accommodation brands such as Novotel Living, Pullman Living, Mercure Living, Swissôtel Living, Mövenpick Living, Fairmont, Sofitel, Mondrian, Hyde and The Sebel.
Recent openings include those of Novotel Living in Bangkok, Saigon and Kazakhstan, as well as Pullman Living Dongguan Forum in China. In Singapore, the Novotel Living brand made its debut in June 2022 with a rebrand of the former 8 on Claymore Serviced Residences. In addition, Adagio – Accor’s flagship “aparthotel” brand – celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2023 with the opening of 11 new properties across five continents.
Accor has 33,000 private villas, apartments, and branded residences operating in rental programmes. The group has also identified more extended stay properties in the pipeline, including new locations for Novotel Living, and expansions to its luxury serviced apartments series in Riyadh, most notably the 250-key Sofitel Serviced Residences Riyadh.
Morin believes that Accor’s broad portfolio of extended stay brands can service the needs of any type of traveller. To solidify its place in the market, Accor has also entered into partnership with Crowne Estate to bring Swissôtel resort to Malaysia’s Genting Highlands and signed a new dual-branded Mercure & ibis hotel deal in Bangkok.
