Accor to add over 15,000 keys to premium, midscale and economy division in Asia
Accor, a global hospitality group, is on track to add over 15,000 keys across Asia by the end of 2023. As of September, the group has already signed management agreements for 42 properties, adding 11,000 keys to its portfolio. An additional 20 projects are penciled in for the rest of the year, pushing the total number of new keys above the 15,000 mark.
Accor is particularly focusing on raising its presence in the premium segment. Already there are 17 projects under way featuring brands such as Pullman, Swissôtel, Mövenpick and Grand Mercure. At the same time, its midscale and economy offerings, including Novotel, Mercure and ibis, are also being fortified.
Among the key new properties are Grand Mercure Bangkok Sukhumvit 68 in Thailand, Grand Mercure Amritsar Airport Road in India, Pullman Amritsar in India, Mövenpick Living West Hanoi in Vietnam and Novotel Genting Highlands in Malaysia.
Commenting on the strategy, Garth Simmons, CEO of Accor’s premium, midscale and economy division for Asia, said:
“Our comprehensive growth strategies are setting new benchmarks in terms of properties and keys signed, as well as introducing innovative brands for the Asian hospitality market. Accor is undoubtedly at the forefront of shaping the future of hospitality across the Asia region.”
Accor’s growth in Asia follows the successful launch of its extended stay portfolio. Having already hit 45,000 keys under this portfolio, Accor has further bolstered its presence through partnerships with Crowne Estate to bring the Swissôtel resort to Malaysia’s Genting Highlands.
These modifications are expected to benefit the Holland Condo vicinity directly, since residents will have easier access to nearby amenities. In addition, the area should experience a larger influx of visitors, which could ultimately benefit businesses and other commercial sites. The new transport network should also simplify commuting for Holland Drive Condo occupants, while creating more efficient transportation routes for drivers.
The Holland Drive Condo is set to benefit from the new URA Master Plan drive to improve transport networks and create clearer, more efficient pathways. This master plan includes improving road networks, introducing pedestrian pathways, and expanding public transit options, all of which could bring more visitors to the area, improve the lives of its residents, and simplify commuting for those who live there. The new transport network will bring great benefits to Holland Condo, making it a desirable place to live and work.
Furthermore, a new general manager has been appointed for Pullman Singapore Hill Street. These activities demonstrate Accor’s dedication to further developing its businesses in Asia.
